God Is Love?
Jimmy Swaggart has just demonstrated the Love of Christ coursing through his being. In a televised sermon, Swaggart said the following (reported in 2The Advocate and WBRZ web site) :

"I've never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry," Swaggart said during the Sept. 12 service, in which he decried gay marriage, according to transcripts of numerous Web sites.
"And I'm going to be blunt and plain: If one ever looks at me like that, I'm going to kill him and tell God he died," he said to the applause and laughs of his congregation.

"I can see how the homosexual community would be offended by that, and I won't say it any more," he said in a telephone interview.
Swaggart's statements have been posted on many gay-interest Web sites, some suggesting his comments could incite violence against gays.
Swaggart called such assertions "a real stretch of the imagination," saying he has never advocated violence.
"I am totally opposed to any type of violence against anyone," he said.
Swaggart said "homosexuals should be treated like everyone else," but he is "opposed to homosexuality."
"I will continue to preach against homosexuality, but do it in the right way," he said.

So speaketh the AntiChrist...

who's scammin' who?

Who's behind the forged papers on Bush's Guard Service?
They were used by CBS, now with the proverbial egg on their face.
CBS obtained them from a known Bush critic.
The known Bush critic got them from...

That is the question.

Actually, there is another question. Who Benefits?

There is an excellent take on Superheroes and responsibility being published right now by DC. It's called "Identity Crisis", written by New York Times Bestselling author Brad Meltzer and illustrated by Rags Morales. The superheroes are trying to figure out who is going after their loved ones. Someone is killing and trying to kill those close to the heroes... which also implies the killer knows their secret identities.
There are complex and dark themes being woven into the plot by Meltzer... but I digress.

In the current issue, number four of a seven issue series, the over arching question is "Who Benefits?" And that is an excellent question to ask in the case of the CBS Bush memos.

Let's see...

Bush benefits from having the old picture of him in his National Guard uniform shown and published regularly (instead of the shot of him on the aircraft carrier, among others).

Bush benefits in being able to dismiss the "whole thing",
the whole question of his National Guard Service, as dirty politics, or can at least try to.

Bush benefits in being able to show how the mainstream media is "out to get him".

Again and again, Bush benefits. SO, although I have no proof, I've got to ask... who's scammin' who? Looks like Bush wins on this one. Oh yes... they're good... so very good... at being bad!
